Mucous plug/bloody show

in 3rd Trimester
 Does anyone know if you have to lose your mucous plug before you go into labor? I havent noticed anything yet and Im due Monday. TIA

    Some people lose it with out noticing and other's don't lose it until they're in labor. Everyone is different and from what I've read it's not a great indicator that labor will happen soon.

    Thank you, none of my pregnancy books say either way. I was hoping that it wouldnt make a difference.

    I didn't see my plug with DD, just had a tinge of pink in my panties and that was about 2-3 days before labor. GL.
