  Unfortunately, weeks.

  Last time I had contractions and other signs for about 4 weeks. 

  This time I'm going on about 2 weeks of serious pre-labor signs. It does suck because it's all such a tease.

  I feel you. I've been having contractions on and off for over a week now. They've been time-able since yesterday and I am miserable. Right now they are about every 6 minutes lasting about a minute each. They are getting a bit uncomfortable, but not enough to go in. The baby is really low and I'm 90% effaced, but the doctor said until my cervix moves down the contractions aren't going to do much.

  I really hope neither one of us has much longer.

  I feel ya. I'm in the same place as you are and I am just waiting and waiting for the REAL thing to happen!

  With my first I walked into hosp for delivery at 7cm dilated and 50% effaced, I was being induced and once they hooked me up said I was contracting without knowing it.. So it varies, I had off and on contractions for like a month before she ever showed up..

  I'm right there with you. My midwife said my cervix is paper thin and my LO is as far down as he can get... Now i just need to progress passed 2cm. I have been at 2cm for three weeks. I just hope when i go in monday it has changed.
