formula fed babies

LO is 11 days old... we switched her to formula a couple days ago because her and my breastmilk werent getting along. when she was getting BM she was would have a poopy diaper after every feeding but now on formula she doesnt. are formula fed babies suppose to go as frequently as BF babies?? i'm worried shes like constipated or something... shes not acting uncomfortable or anything though. and if she is constipated what can i give her since shes so young?

    FF babies go less. When DD was BF, she would go a lot. Now that she if FF, she goes about twice a day.

    When I switched DS from BM to Formula he went three days without pooping. Now he goes about one time a day.

    Three days?? and he seemed ok? when he finally went was it all like at once LOL an excessive amount?  Well I guess i'll give it til monday... yesterday was her first full day on formula... and it she hasnt gone by then maybe ill call the Dr., dont want her to be all backed up, poor kid that cant feel good! LOL. thanks for your help mommies

    I asked my pedi about this - she said sometimes FF babies can sometimes go 6 days without having a BM and that it's OK!  My LO has only gone a day without a BM so that shocked me

    like the pp mentioned, ff babies can go a few days without pooping. but also, the switch itself from breastmilk to formula could be causing the pooping delay. the same goes if you try to switch formulas... baby may respond to it by pooping a lot, pooping a little, or some combination of that two. they have very sensitive bellies!

    Yeah he mostly just farted non-stop those three days and when he finally pooped it wasn't that bad! No blow-out or Play-Dough factory, just a good amount! I was worried at first, but he worked it out and my Pedi wasn't concerned unless he went 5 or more days.
