Adhesive tape residue removal from baby skin?

I hate that I even need to ask this, but how do I get this gunk off of Ben's arms from his I.V.'s?  I am only giving him sponge baths, still, so we don't have a lot of moisture to get this stuff off.  Thanks.

    Did you try olive oil? That should work, and should be pretty gentle.

    The NICU gave me this little stick thing that had some sort of liquid in it that helped get the residue off...though it ran out and we ended up using rubbing alcohol (not the most gentle, I know).

    There are tape remover pads sold at medical supply stores.  We used them all the time when Keira was on O2 and needed the cannula taped to her cheeks to keep her from pulling it off.
