Pregnant... again??
Hi everyone!
It's been a while since I've posted on these boards as I just don't have any free time anymore! But, wanted to share some news and get some honest opinions.
For those who remember me, I've had 2 m/cs (1 ectopic), and got pregnant with twins by using de. They're doing absolutely fantastic and are the loves of my life!
Fast forward to last week... seeing how I have DOR and was told I wouldn't easily get pregnant, DH and I had unprotected sex and guess what? I'm pregnant. Great news, complete shock, but happy news nonetheless. But, now I'm in hcg hell. Here's my info and let me know what you think:
7/22 - hcg 30, prog 19.9
7/24 - hcg 45
7/28 - hcg 164, prog 9 (was told to use crinone every night now)
Going in for another blood test today in which I won't get the results til Monday. My biggest fear is an ectopic since I've already had one. But at this point, we can't detect anything with u/s since the hcg is so low.
Now, I know if I saw someone else post this, I'd think she'd most likely miscarry so feel free to be brutally honest with, but what are your thoughts?
Can anyone tell me about their ectopics if you had one? Although I had one, I had no symptoms. My hcg at the time was going up and down, up and down, and nothing was seen in u/s. I was treated by methotrexate and so I had no complications.

Wow! I am sure you are freaked out...but there is definitely a chance that things will be okay. P4 can fluctuate a lot.

Sorry you are going through this. Your 2nd two betas are doubling appropriately. Did you have your first two drawn at the exact same time of day? Because even a few hours could make a difference in doubling time.
I hope it all works out for you!!! Sorry you have to be in limbo. Sending you tons of beta doubling dust!

The first 2 beta's were drawn at the same time (ok, I think there was a half hour difference, that's it). This pregnancy is a complete shock, but we're very cautious at this point. DH and I couldn't help but get a little excited at first, but after hearing the 2nd beta, we've told ourselves to just stay level headed and to not get excited... yet. The waiting is agony. I'd rather just know one way or the other instead of being in limbo! My worse fear though is it being an ectopic and need an emergecy surgery and being away from my babies!!!

I put my beta #'s beside yours in bold. My prog didn't go low because I was taking prometrium to induce a period to start our next IVF. So while, yes, there could be something bad happening...it could also be just like my little Miles...a procrastinator baby!

congrats that is awesome!!! about your hcg, i think the postiive is the 3rd beta that it jumped quite a bit - was that 2 days after the 2nd beta? Oh, 4 days, right?
glad you are taking stuff for progesterone. it is hard to tell without more betas or an u/s. I get ton of betas so keep pushing for those.
I had a beta that didn't double, but on the 3rd beta it was down, so you are still in the game. good luck!

Congrats on your twins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They seriously are the loves of my life. Twins are hard work, but I wouldn't change a thing! Thank goodness for modern technology!
I'll post back again next week for an update. I did go for another beta today but I don't get the results until Monday. I miss getting same day results like I did with my RE!
