Oh, and my envy-worthy 'vacation tan' = FAIL

DH and I spent last week doing the Pacific Coast Highway - awesome btw.

We rented a convertible. It was in the 60s. We drove top down anyway (we paid for a convertible, we're gonna drive a CONVERTIBLE, damn it!!). So of course we're bundled up in coats, hats, etc.

So sun only touched me from the chin up. My tinted moisturizer has SPF 30. I don't moisturize my ears. We drove south and were inside in the afternoons.

My left ear is swollen, red and horribly burnt. My right ear is lily white.

    Boo, I'm sorry you didn't get a better tan. Although picturing your ears is making me giggle.

    DH and I have done that...it is beautiful.  I don't tan EVER...my skin just won't do it...so I know how much it sucks.  Hope your left ear feels better soon.

    Hope your ear feels better soon. I have had a vacation like that, I usually tan well, but for some reason didn't really tan so no one at work believed I went away.
