Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs - We've had this one for a while, but DS just discovered it. He calls it the 'giant meatball book,' and has requested it every day this week.
Curious George Rides a Bike - They had this one displayed on top of the shelves at the library. DS saw it, grabbed it, and exclaimed,"Mama! This is the best! This is the best EVER!" Then he hugged the book. So...we had to get it. lol.
Feelings - I have to admit I am so tired of this book! We read it numerous times a day. It's really geared toward older kids but she loves it. I change some of the words though because I think they're inappropriate for her (stupid, etc).
and My Goodnight Book - mine from when I was little; this is a great classic bedtime book!
My kids ADORE Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs. They like the book so much that neither one of them wanted to see the movie because they heard it was so different from the original book. Ditto with Where The Wild Things Are and How To Train Your Dragon.
Right now, DS is reading a bunch of non-fiction stuff on space, volcanoes, dinos, etc. And he's obsessed with the Bad Kitty series (really cute and silly!)
DD and I just finished reading the play The Miracle Worker together yesterday. I was bawling. I used to teach the play when I taught 7th grade, and I would always warn the students that I cry at the end when Helen finally learns what words are. Ugh.
Now it's DS's turn to pick the next read-aloud. I'm going to steer him toward Ralph The Motorcycle Mouse or Stuart Little.
My DD didn't like "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" so it was interesting to see so many kids here liking it. I liked the pictures but I don't love the story, to be honest.

This has become an instant favorite.
Library book that she loved enough to check out again. We might be buying this one.
Another library book we might soon be buying. It's adorable (and ends with a new baby).
