Well, part of it. We also did the NK test in addition to it and apparently the lab messed up the test for that one. So I went for another blood draw yesterday for just that test, which the RE sends out to Reprosource.
Well, of the results that I did get back I have issues with folic acid. Apparently I have an immunity to it or something, so I have to take a supplement starting after transfer in addition to baby asprin.
Has anyone else experienced this? Did they say it was or could have been a cause for chemical pregnancy or failure to implant? The RE nurse said that it was likely that it could.
Thanks ladies
Re: So I got my auto immune testing back...
any chance you can find out more about the "official" name of this anti-folic thing? I'd be interested in it, of course.
Sorry you have to wait on the NKA thing, I know how it feels to want the answers!
I have some weird folate deficiency/anemia issues too. Nothing that couldn't be fixed with extra FA,b6 and b12. Are you doing Folgard?
I never knew I had this stuff going on till I went to the RE (prior to that I had 2 term pregnancies and 2 m/c's at 12 weeks). I don't think if affected my ability to become pregnant but, that certainly doesn't mean that it can't.
I hope the rest of your test results bring answers/good news.

I'm just guessing but I would think that the folic acid issues stem from you having the MTHFR gene mutation. I have one copy of that and take Fabb tabs which is extra folic acid along with b vitamins. I have read that some docs will prescribe two Fabb tabs a day if you have two copies of the mutation.
I have read that MTHFR is suspected as a reason in failure to implant and/or miscarriages but it also seems to be one of the "lesser" issues so perhaps not the total cause in most cases. NK cells would be higher on the list. Hopefully you will get your results for those back soon. Keep us updated.

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

FWIW, I've pushed to have the MTHFR test done, and my OB didn't know of it (wtf) and my new RE said don't worry about it, everything else is normal, you don't have it... but test your hystimine levels if it'll make you feel better.
Lots of us around here with MTHFR mutations.
It's actually extremely common but also a relatively new discovery (where that's "new" in the medical world, i.e. discovered in the '70s or so...lol).  Most docs still don't know about it, sadly.  REs do, though, so I can't imagine why Davez's doc won't test for it.  Totally nuts, IMO.
