PP hairloss?

1st pp AF started this past weekend at 9.5w pp and at the same time I've noticed extra strands of hair coming out. This am it looked like a small pony had showered in my bathroom there was so much more hair down the drain. I hadn't heard of this side effect but Dr google says it's common. Anyone else experience this?

I was just going to post about this and ask how long before it stopped for others. My hair is falling out like crazy. I'm seriously thinking about cutting it off. I figure shorter hair might be easier to manage while I'm "shedding" worse than my dog. Ugh!!

My shedding was really bad 3-6 months pp. It lasted much longer than I expected!

It happened to me. I lost a ton of hair and now it's growing back, and I have baby hairs everywhere and bangs. Haha I think it's really common. My hair dresser even mentioned it would probably happen when I was pregnant.

Oh yes, VERY common. I've never heard of anyone who didn't deal with pp hair loss.

It lasted a few months for me...I want to say maybe 6. Don't worry - you won't go bald!

Mine started pretty recently and it is BAD! I spend at least 50% of the time I am in the shower trying to get hair off my hands, shoulders, etc. And I totally stopped up the shower, too. I have too much hair, so this is welcome!

My hair loss started about 3 months pp. I was losing ALOT at first, since about 6 months pp it's slowed down, and now it's almost stopped. Sucks:(

I am the kind of person that, prior to pregnancy, lost a lot of hair in the shower. I just have a TON of hair. While I was pregnant, however, I stopped shedding... I'd shower and have very little hair come out. But now, the shedding is back, and it is definitely more than before. sad. I'm finding my hair all over the house, and its gross.

Totally normal, you stop shedding during pregnancy and resume after birth. But instead of normal every day shedding you shed to make up for the 9 months you didn't. Mine was insane. I did cut my hair shorter and it finally slowed down around 9 months pp.

From 4-6 months PP I had hair coming out like crazy, insane amount.

Then it stopped and I was all happy. Until I realized I had all these wispy little strands coming in, and until they grew to match the rest of my hair, it was crazy.

sigh, yes. i have been a shedding maniac for the last 2 months. i am so used to have tons and tons of hair. so, having normal thickness makes me just feel like i'm bald. i know, i need to just get over myself. but, my hair is one of my best features and to have it altered for a season all on its own and out of my control, just freaks me out a bit.

i had a shedding season in my 1st trimester (weird and backwards, i know), but it was all back to normal during my 2nd & 3rd trimesters. so, i am just trying to be patient for it to come back after this shedding session.

This! With Ava it lasted from 3 to 6 months pp. It is just starting up this time around, so I'm guessing it will be the same. Yuck.

I feel like I'm going to be bald in a week based on how much hair is coming off me right now. Started when LO was 3 months and it's frightening!
