What the helll is light cream? 

Half and Half? 

She's making quiche and noticed the recipe called for light cream.  I told her I'd just use regular cream and it would be fine (which is what she did) but now I'm curious.

    There is heavy cream and light cream.  Not sure where the confusion lies.

    I don't think I've ever seen light cream before!  I'l blame it on the tiny market I shop at and the fact that I rarely buy cream.

    Yep.  It is in the dairy section next to the whipping creams.  A heavy cream with make the quiche too dense and possible make it tough.
