We may have done this, but searching for PIPs for Ashley made me think of this (yeah...Vicoden makes me weird).

I met Bill online. Dating in this area is tough because I either knew the guy was a douche already or he'd dated half of my friends and that was just weird. I got lucky as heck and I tell him he's my winning lottery ticket, my dream come true and the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Anyway...on to the point here. Before I met him, I got some strange "bites" on my profile. Most were just perverts, but this guy took the cake. In his first email, which was only semi-coherent, he included this picture. I don't have the faintest idea why he was single...

I met mine at Old Navy. Both our friends worked there and went to pick up their checks...we just all happend to be there at the same time and got to talking. We had gone to school together our whole lives, but had never met...(even though we had mutual friends)

DH & I started working for a call center on the same day, so we were in the same training class. We didn't really hit it off at first. I was dating someone else and so was he. Then I saw his car, and being a bit of a car junkie, I knew I wanted to date him just so I could go for a ride in his car. Well, we became really good friends at work. One day he happened to mention tome that he had broken up with his gf. About a week later the boy I was dating broke up with me. We went out on a "date" the next week and the rest is history.

Blind Date

I bought a house, the previous owners and I stayed friends (since I was single and my parents lived in another state, the husband kinda still looked after the house for me). One day a package came to my house for them so I brought it over to their new house. As the wife and I were sitting there talking, she said, "hey, I have someone you should meet." They all went to church together. Turns out he is a sports broadcaster and has a sports radio show. So, I started listening to him. He said something I didn't agree with so I emailed him about it and told him he was wrong. Guess he liked that and we emailed back and forth for a little while and finally met up one night. Our first meeting was before we were supposed to actually meet at a party the couple was throwing.

We were engaged 5 months later and married a little over a year after that.

I met DH on match.com too!!!! I went out with 2 guys before that - like 2 dates each. One I call "unemployed Tom" - he actually told me he was looking for a "sugar momma". Yeah, um, no. The other I refer to as "pedophile Dan". I don't actually think he was one, but he was a creeper for sure. He told me after our 2nd date that he had gotten banned from another dating site for "bothering" a girl. Um, yeah, see you buddy.

The only reason I went out with DH after those two winners was b/c it turned out we actually had gone to the same high school - he was a senior when I was a freshman, but we didn't know each other then. We did; however, have some mutual friends, so I figured maybe he wasn't a total wack job and lucky for him - he wasn't. :-)

The first time? He was working as a computer lab attendant in my dorm building at college. He couldn't fix my computer, so I lost my term paper. I thought he was an idiot, he thought I was an idiot. It was really quite romantic.

Fast forward a year and a half later, I was dating his friend. Once his friend and I broke up, we started dating.

The rest, as they say, is history!

I had actually just started seeing someone else, that I met through a friend, about two weeks before out first date. We started e-mailing at Christmas and couldn't figure out plans till February! We went to lunch the Sunday after Valentines Day (I had gone out with other guy for v-day Embarrassed ) and I wasn't sure if he was my type. He called everyday that week, I never called him back.

That Friday I went to Happy Hour with friends and invited DH and the other guy! Other guy showed up, had a drink, and left about 10 mintues before DH showed up. My friend told me she liked DH SOOOOO much more than the other guy, so even though I still wasn't sure, I went out with him again the next night......then it was love!

We were engaged 9 months later and married 8 weeks after that.

Everyone thought I was pregnant ( I wasn't)....who gets the last laugh now as I sit here in the TTCAL board!!!

I was DH's trainer when he started working at the restaurant I was working at. We didn't start dating for another 3 weeks because I was seeing someone else. Then one day after work we went to get a bite to eat just as two co-workers going to eat and we were there for almost 2 hours just talking. We didn't want the "date" to end so we went to see a movie. (Which we both feel asleep in - Ha ha!!) I broke up with the guy I was seeing the next day. We dated for a year and a half before we got engaged and then we were married a year after that.

Match.com!! We went out several times and I just couldn't decide if I liked him "that way" or if we should just be friends. After about a month I told him I just wanted to be friends and figured our relationship in general would be over. He stuck around for many many months as my friend and was the best friend I could have. I went out with another guy and it hit me on my date with him that I would so much rather be with DH. I told DH and we started dating again. We were engaged three months later. DH later told me that he only stuck around as my friend because he knew he would eventually wear me down.

We met at an underground (literally, it was in an abandoned bomb shelter) rock club that I frequented and he'd just stumbled into. We talked about Hunter S. Dh and I both worked at Buger Hut while we were in college. When I first started there he had hair longer than mine! I thought he was fun to hang out with, but never thought about dating him. Then a few months later he cut his hair into a mullet, yes a mullet. After 2 weeks of that, he shaved it all off. I had left my wallet at his house and went to go pick it up and saw him from behind and thought who is this guy? He looks kind of cute. 5 years later we were married.

He would always come up and talk(flirt) with all the nurses. I never talked to him because I was busy working. Then one day another nurse asked me to go out with her one night-I didn't know that she had asked him and his friend to go too. We hung out that night and became friends. We became best friends. We talked on the phone all the time. Then after about six moths he asked me to go on a date with him-and we have been together for 9 years now.
