Anyone's shoulders or neck muscles on FIRE?!

My shoulder/neck muscles are burning! I think it is from the extra weight in my chest. I had a very big pre-pregnancy bust. I weighed 106 and wore a 30DDD...big boobs run in the family. They are definitely heavier now and the left one seems much larger. I have serious armpit boob because I refuse to buy new bras. Anyone else experiencing muscle burning in their shoulder/neck?

  • I've been having a lot of neck and shoulder pain. Like you, I'm thinking it just comes from the extra weight. I asked my OB about it yesterday, and she said that if it persists, she will prescribe Flexoril (a mild muscle relaxant). I might have to go down that road if it gets too much worse. Ugh.

  • You poor thing! It sounds like without your boobs you would have weighed like 80 pounds! That's a lot of boob to carry around!

I highly recommend finding a good chiropractor! I have a smallish build- usually around 110 and my c cups were hard enough to tote around pre-pg. Now my back is completely falling apart and my chiro is my hero!

Ha! To be honest, it wasn't too bad pre-pregnancy.

Funny story...I went my husband's family chiropractor once. His family has been going to the same chirporactor since he was a child. So, I was convinced that I had a herniated disc in my back. His mother and sisters were going to get adjusted so I went. Well, I got so nervous as he was doing my SILs that I started laughing hysterically...like couldn't stop to save my life...and sweating. The doctor was like, "I won't adjust you if you are this nervous." Ha! I never went back!!!

  • I'm with you!  I had large boobs before pregnancy and now they are ginormous and my back constantly feels like I'm on fire.  I'm practically in tears many nights of the week.  I've been seeing an acupuncturist for years because I already had upper back/neck problems related to being top heavy.  She helps a lot, but I only get to see her once every two weeks.

My neck and shoulders have been really sore for the last few weeks, which I think is really contributing to my headaches/migraines.  I have found that going to the chiropractor really helps.  When I first started going I was really nervous about them adjusting my neck, I felt like they were going to break it and kill me, but now I just try and relax and take a few deep breaths.  You'll get used to it over time.
