AW on my picky eater!

I don't know what got into her today but I was feeding her at the park this afternoon, as someone had suggested on here, and she ate like crazy, strawberries and cheese and blueberries.

Then I came home thinking "now she won't want dinner, oh well" and she ate peas and pasta and avocado and yogurt! And a decent amount (for her) of each one! I was really amazed.

The key seems to be some type of distraction, either at the park or here I read her books. I guess the timing was just good too, not sure what did it but I am so happy.

  • That is so exciting.  My daughter will eat just fine, but only if I feed her.  I keep trying to put food on her tray, but she is more content to just play with it or push it around her tray than put it in her mouth.  Oh well, eventually she will probably get it.  BTW, cute pic of your daughter!

Thanks! Likewise. I guess they all have their little preferences. I can't even really feed my DD, unless it is something she really loves.

  • That is awesome Amy!  Yaay!  I hpoe she continues to eat for you!.  The one good piece of advice my FIL ever gave me was that kids go through phases.  It is funny how they s'times will eat like crazy, then other times not much at all... their little bodies go through so many different types of spurts, but (at least for MOST kids)- they end up getting what they need.  Anyway- I am sure you know that.  :)

    BTW- this made me LOL:

Hopefully you won't be spoon feeding the kiddos when they are 15.  :)

It's good to be reminded! You lose perspective when you are sitting there with the spoon in one hand and the book in the other hand and she is just shaking her head and whining.
