  • I agree. Wanna try it with 2 huskies? Its like you're the sled they're pulling...only you're a pregnant lady. ugh. lol

I can't do it anymore.  I can barely walk one dog when Alex is with me and walking the other.

And bending down to pick up poop isn?t an option anymore either.  So, I have to have the hubs with me to clean up their mess.

  • Good for you!

There's a chick in my neighborhood who is much farther along than me and I see her out running with her dog in the hot humid 100+ degree weather up and down hills.... she makes me feel like a lazy slob.

  • i do it with 1 and im exhausted.. i couldnt imagine another one.

  • Tell me about it! I tell my dogs that the farther along I get, the shorter their walks get. I feel bad for them but my husband hates my dogs and he never walks them. Blah

  • They are actually relatively well behaved if there aren't any other dogs, people, birds, squirrels, or bugs around.  As soon as my weim sees something move she heads for it, and if I'm not paying attention, my arm almost comes out of the socket, lol

  • Yeah I can't handle both of mine at once anymore... thus their walks have gotten a little shorter. Speaking of, I gotta go before it reaches mid nineties!

  • I've never been able to handle both even when not pregnant.  My younger one likes to walk fast, while my older dog likes to stop and sniff everything.  It's just easier to walk one at a time.
  • I don't walk my dog anymore unless I absolutely have to (if he's standing at the door in the middle of the day or something)

He's very strong and I can handle him normally, but he has almost pulled me over before if he hears a skateboard and I don't notice it first. Being so tired and top heavy I don't want him to make me fall over. I still go for walks with him when my husband takes him though so he doesn't feel neglected :)

  • I could never tolerate a dog who pulled me on the leash.  Unacceptable.  We are still training our new boxer to walk properly.  Sometimes the leash gets taut but she sure isn't pulling me.  Otherwise we stop and she sits.  My other dog, a chihuahua, doesn't give me any problems at all.

  • DH is in charge of walking to dogs now.  I have two mastiffs weighing in at a total of 270 pounds (nothing compared to the 205 pound big boy listed above!)  My dogs are fine until we see someone, then it's trouble!

  • So glad my greyhound is the laziest dog in the world (even for a greyhound!).  He doesn't like walking at all and I'm usually the one dragging him.  I give you ladies tons of credit!!

  • I completely agree, and I don't even walk them!  I just take them out to go to the bathroom - the chillins usually take them out for walks.  We have an older dog who is very well behaved and doesn't need to be on a leash because she listens so well, even with other dogs around.  The other dog is only 9 months old, is HUGE (I'm sure he weighs at least 75-80 pounds now and is total muscle), and is still learning the whole "don't pull on the leash" part, which he's only kind of sort of learning after I put a choke chain on him last week.  He's much better, but if there's anything that around that grabs his attention and makes him want to playfully explore, oy...I should have someone film me with JoJo...we could win thousands of dollars on America's Funniest Home Videos and I could pay for birthing classes, to fix the car, AND to figure out how to move!  Big Smile
  • agreed... I can usually handle both of mine together because they're harnessed. But when they see a squirrel, they're out of control!!
  • LOL... when I read this I thought.. Oh no, someone saw me : )

  • Hmm. I walk both of mine 2x a day. I couldn't do it at noon though- too hot.
  • I would never even attempt to walk my 2 dogs alone!  They are harnessed so they don't really have the opportunity to pull but if they saw a cat, squirell, another dog etc I'd be screwed.  Since we live in the center of town we are guaranteed to run into something!  I can handle 1 at a time but the bigger I get, the harder it gets!
