I was just wondering because cookie dough has uncooked eggs in it..thats the only reason...dont worry, ive gone through my fair share of ice cream...ben and jerrys is still in business due to my pregnancy

Food with raw cookie dough in it, like ice cream, either has no eggs in the batter or is paturized, so you're totally fine. It's not the same as making cookie dough at home and eating it without cooking it. You're all good.

Most ice cream has raw egg in it. I only know of a few brands (Friendly's and I think Brighams) that don't. I checked the ingredients on a bunch of Ben & Jerry's and all but the sorbet had egg in it I've personally been staying away from it now that I know, but I did eat some earlier in the pg and so far so good.

First off, as a chef I can tell you most ice creams have COOKED egg, to create that custard texture you have to cook it..I make ice cream all the time.
2nd, if it's not cooked it's most likely pasteurized.
3rd, only 1 in 30,000 eggs in the US contain salmonella.
I made cookie dough tonight just so I could eat it raw.
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind."
- Kurt Vonnegut
Cookie dough is my favourite type of ice cream, I have eaten it quite a few times. Not sure if it is completely safe, but I love it so much and it isnt on my no eat list.

You're killing me, ladies! Tell me I have to wait two more weeks before I can binge on Ben and Jerry's. Tell me, dammit! I have no self control and this could get ugly!
Re: So, we all bought this half baked ice cream......

Ladies, it's pasturized, like 99% of the food in the US. Eat your ice cream, just tell DH it's dangerous for him.

I've eaten cookie dough ice cream, and a turkey sandwich, and I've had a coke or two (ok more than that). I'm horrible.
Dude.
You're kidding, right?
Eat the ice cream.

Ditto. I ate brownie batter the other night without even thinking twice about it. That could be a good or bad thing. Nonetheless, it was delish!!!!!
