If you're on my FB, chances are you've seen it. But here's a video of Mason during our last week at NK9. I had to teach him several Assistance Dog tasks -- one being getting the mail and closing the mailbox unassisted. I'm so proud of him!
I love his lips all stuck curled under. He's so well trained!
I'm so glad you completed the course. Was it everything you hoped for?
It was everything I hoped for and more. I learned so much and was so interested in everything, it was the best learning experience I've had in my life thus far. Definitely tops the 4.5 years I spent in college. My instructors were fabulous. The theory behind it all was so interesting to me. The hands-on workshops were very beneficial, including watching everyone else work their dogs. I particularly loved personal protection work & taking bites from dogs. It was just overall a thrilling experience. I also met a group of girls that I'd like to think I'll be friends with for life. We are already planning our first reunion next year in one of the girl's home state!
