If you've done more than one Clomid cycle...

Did you find that the side effects were more pronounced with each subsequent cycle?

Last cycle (my first on Clomid) the side effects weren't *too* bad. Today, I just took my first Clomid pill (same dosage - only 50 mg) only about 8 hours ago and I'm having a perma-hot flash, splitting headache, and just a generally lousy feeling. 

This sucks.

(oh yeah, and I ran into my friend's older sis today at Target and got to meet her brand new beautiful baby boy - while I was in the pharmacy line waiting to pick up my Clomid.)

    oh! Finally a question I know something about :)

    I've done 2 cycles so far, and my first cycle was by far the worst for side effects. The 100mg, I didn't have many symptoms. 

    How many clomid cycles is this for you now, Lindsay?

    The thing is - I typically don't experience medicinal side effects. At all. Every drug I've taken, prescription or otc, I've never experienced any of the side effects.

    However, I think I'm just *very* sensitive to hormones. I always get really bad PMS (headaches, bloating, acne, etc). That's why I think the Clomid is kicking my arse. I mean, it's only 50 mg!

    if you dont mind my advice...I did a total of 4 rounds and YES mine s/e did seem to get worse. Dont know why...

    I think that my hot flashes were worse the second cycle than the first. That was the only s/e that I had.

    Yes, my s/e were worse w/each successive cycle.  Especially the night sweats.  Hang in there - stay hydrated and give yourself a break.  (and I'm so sorry about the baby bump-in, gah.)

    Yepper.

    I'm on my, I don't know, 100th cycle of Clomid.  I still don't think the SE's are aweful.  But my night-sweats are getting bad.  I toss and turn all night.  And I have a clear temp spike in the morning from it.

    And I just feel generally icky.

     

    Yay for Clomid.

    have to agree......by the second and third cycle the s/es had increased significantly and I was only on 50mg as well!

    My second cycle was much worse than the first but my dosage was also higher.  The s/e were so bad I switched to Femara.  Good luck!!!
