. . . is Jocasta. It's Scottish (which I am, but he is not) and pronounce jah-COSS-tah. We're not using it, since our names have been picked out for years, but I thought I'd post and see what your thoughts were? (Don't worry about hurting his feelings--he's a man, he can take it: )

It's not Greek mythological, it's from the play Oedipus Rex. But yes, a story about a woman who ends up marrying her son (unknowingly) and baring him children would make me think twice about naming my child that.

Ummmm....I'm going with Greek. It's the name of Oedipus's mother, isn't it? (It's possible I'm remembering my AP English class incorrectly.) If I am right, I couldn't use this name. Really, regardless of origins, it's nms.
