Currently, he loves the song from one of his signing time DVD called, "do you know the colors of the rainbow?". That DVD actually taught him his colors. He also likes "twinkle twinkle little star" and the "apples and bananas" song.
The songs she sings most often are "For Nancy" (Pete Yorn), "Viva la Vida" (Coldplay), "I Love You" (Sarah McLachlan), the theme song from the _Arthur_ tv show.
No, she doesn't get all the lyrics quite right, but she's pretty determined. And practices. A lot. As long as she doesn't start singing DH's Rachid Taha and Cheb Mami I'll be happy, though.
I used to be a summer camp counselor, and I have a camp song book that I sing to my kids. I just introduced her to "Little Bunny Foo Foo" last night and she LOVES it. She also likes the song "High Hopes (about the ant that moves a rubber tree plant), and "Playmate" that my grandma used to sing to me when I was little.
Ohhh...I forgot, Dh and I just went and saw the play "Wicked" and just got the CD in the mail last night. So, she's been listening to that for the last two nights
1) "Right Round" by Alvin & The Chipmunks - He goes around all day saying "You spin me right round, baby, right round, like a record, baby...."
2) "Gitchee Gitchee Goo" by Phineas & Ferb
3) "I Got a Feeling" by The Black Eyed Peas...except DS prefers the Alvin & The Chipmunks version of this one too. Whenever I say "I got a feeling..." DS goes, "Wooo-hoooooooo..."
She's listening to some of everything right now; anything from typical kids' stuff like "Twinkle, Twinkle", "Hot Dog" (MM Clubhouse) and "Skidamarinkee Dinky Dink" (pardon the spelling) to "I'mma Be" by the Black Eyed Peas, "Your Love" by Nicki Minaj and "Say What You Need to Say" by John Mayer. She loves all kinds of music!
DD has it on her SweetPea. But she also likes to see the video. "Mom, can I watch Pete rock out?" Of course, my friend. Of *course*.
I really shouldn't be surprised. PY was her first concert (12 weeks in utero) and I had a PY/Jeff Buckley playlist on repeat for a good 14 hours of labour. DH gently asked in between contractions "Darling, could I change the music for a little while please?" My answer?
I don't know what it's called, but she absolutely loves the song that goes "If all the raindrops were lemondrops and gumdrops ..." (and she has no idea what any of those things are, which cracks me up).
"To the dogs or whoever" by Josh Ritter (she calls it her ballet song, which is funny because it's fast).
"Lewis' Dream" by Owen Pallett (we listen to this one almost every morning).
"Folk bloodbath" and "Change of time" by Josh Ritter, too. (Normally, I tell her the real names of songs, but I just can't have her using the term "bloodbath," so we've retitled that song for her purposes.)

Happy Birthday (LOL)
The "Hello" song from Music Together

You haven't heard that fantabulous song in years? Here, let me help you with that.
