Nipple pain at the beginning of a session, LO 4 mos

For about a week now, when LO begins to nurse or I begin to pump, I have pain in my nipples. Both sides (not when nursing or pumping one side only, I only experience the pain when nursing/pumping).

I've read through a few pages' worth of posts and googled, but can't find anything helpful. I don't experience any of the symptoms of yeast, mastitis, or plugged ducts. I guess I'll call the LC tomorrow and talk to her, but thought I'd ask here anyway. TIA!

    I had an odd pain a few months ago too, but just in my left nip.  When DS started to feed it hurt like a mofo!  Felt like cracked nipples but everything was fine.  Went to the doctor, didn't see any infection or anything.  I started using my lanolin again and after a few weeks it went away.

    Sorry I can't be more helpful than that  lol
