Well, that's one board I'll never check anymore. Having it at the top was the only thing that reminded me to check it, and seeing the last post often caught my eye enough to click on it too. I know they need to fix the error messages, but did they ever really try to fix it as it was???

They have soooo many technical problems... I'm really just glad they did something. They seem to have enough trouble with simple problems (I mean, search is a plug and play problem...even if you don't want to use something proprietary, anyone with half a clue about these things could do a simple one that would work well enough), I would never expect them to solve this problem in any real way... It seems to be a traffic problem, which is not a quick fix if you don't have things set up well in the first place.

Yeah, when they fix the search function, I'll pass out.
It actually worked back in 2006!
I'm glad they were listening about the error messages, and it had been SO long on that which affected so many of us, but it sucks since I really liked how the two boards were linked. I worry that PAIF will be the natural stop after IF now, and SAIF not until a babe is born, whereas before you had to come to SAIF and go from here. And, as I indicated above, I'm guessing I'm not the only SAIFer who checked it more often because of its location.

Again, I admit to not being super tech savvy, but why is the placement of a hyperlink the source of so many glitches? I mean, moving the hyperlink to PAIF doesn't change where PAIF is hosted, and if they needed to change where it was hosted, the still could have left the hyperlink.
Right now the PAIF link is on the left side of the screen instead of on the top of this page - how is that one line of code to blame for the error messages? It seems like a quick and stupid "fix" that doesn't really address the problem. $10 says the error messages pop up again soon.
Can any web design or hosting experts explain?

This is TOTALLY why I'm confused about the error messages. There are a hundred Bump boards but the ones that get screwed up are where there is a link to another at the top...even though they all have a hundred down the side???

I'm not an expert by any means, but my guess is they are using some sort of template coding (like CSS), so that the links on the left show up on every page or board, no matter where you are. So it's not actually tied to the SAIF board. Where as the PAIF board was. You could only get to PAIF through SAIF. But why that would cause errors, I have no idea.
Oh! They are gone. Hopefully that resolves the issues. Strange that having a sub-board would cause so many problems and across all of The Bump... Did they get ride of all sub-boards?
Re: PAIF moved to its own board!
