WWYD? Bleeding/Spotting again

I called OB's office at 3:30pm, they took a message and said they would call back.  It's 6:15pm and still no call.  Would you call L&D, just go to the ER or call the OB's and see if someone is still there.  I hate to be a pain to the OB's office, but WTF have they not called me back yet?  I'm pretty crampy, in the front and back and have had a fairly large brown clot come out.  WWYD?

Re: WWYD? Bleeding/Spotting again

  • I imagine any call back you'd get now would be from the on-call doc, and they're going to say to go to the ER for a check. If your insurance and plan allows for it, and you don't have to take Ella to that icky germy place... then you know me, I'd be there to ease my freaking.

But my call is "everything is fine, just some growing and moving around in there, those beans are getting big!"

ps - I have a doppler I would be more than happy to lend to you for a while, if you need it.  ;-)

  • I would say go.  I resisted last night going to L&D even thought DH kept telling me to go. I just didn't want to be "one of those" women.. But this morning when things didn't change and I felt worse, I didn't have any leverage left with him.and we BOTH feel better now that went and got checked out.

I would say b/c you ar having twins, I wouldn't hesitate to go. Maybe have your OB paged considering I am sure your OB's office is closed by now.  But I think that you should def go if he/she hasn't called ASAP.

    Wishing you lots of luck...

Thank you for the offer, but I know with twins I will freak out if I can't get both h/b's or whatever.

They called as you and Alissa were answering this.  It was my normal OB and he said they are going to fit me in for an u/s tomorrow.  He said that a placental abruption would be worse case because of the horrible cramping I'm now having.

I'll update tomorrow.   The worrying never every ends.

Keep us posted. I hope all is ok and that brown = no concern. :)
  • Oh good!  I am glad that your OB called back.  Don't worry about bothering the OB's office; call when you need to.  Good luck tomorrow, I will be thinking about you.

  • ugh, i'm sorry you're dealing with this...so glad you'll get an u/s tomorrow.  i had some brown spotting at 13-14 weeks while out of town after a 13-hour car ride and the midwife who called me back managed to talk me down.  never had it again, thank goodness.  i'm betting it's something similar with you.
