Birth announcements

I just started looking into these.  I originally thought I wanted to make them myself, but I went to Michael's yesterday and was pretty unimpressed by their stamp selection - plus it would have been really expensive!  That got me thinking it might be easier to just order them online.  Where did you get yours?  Were you satisfied with them?  I'm hoping to get the ones with a photo printed on.

 Thank you!

  • I've always liked TinyPrints, though some can get a bit pricey. Also, check into etsy.com

  • i think Costco does them , you upload your photo into a design. Not sure about the cost though.

  • We used Purple Stork and I loved ours. They were wonderful helping us with the design and making sure it was exactly what I wanted. Anyway, maybe we splurged a little but I didn't need a ton of them, so that made a difference.

  • We used tinyprints and have on multiple occasions.  They are awesome.  I think their prices are reasonable and they are super quick (located in the bay area).  And you can customize just about anything (I used a baby announcement for her 1st birthday.)
  • You should be able to find an online coupon too.

  • Thanks for the recommendations!  I'll definitely check them all out!  I can't believe it's already time to start thinking about all of these things...

  • I also used SweetieP.  Then printed with Winkflash.  They turned out amazing.
  • Another endorsement of SweetieP/Swish Designs.   I only WISH she'd been in business when my girl was born...

  • Try zazzle.com. A lot of designers post really cute announcements that you can customize as much as you want.
  • I used photoaffections.com, they came yesterday, and are amazing.  I wasn't impressed with the designs on Shutterfly, Snapfish, Costco, Kodak Gallery, etc.

  • We got ours through winkflash.

They actually duplicated our order so we got a whole other set we'll never use.  They're just fine and I wrote thank you notes on the back of the picture cards.  I'm also keeping the extra envelopes because I had a friend years ago who complained about how hard it was to find envelopes big enough to fit pictures to send to the relatives.
