Success after IF

Beta in

Sad

The good news is that it's probably a CP and not an ectopic.  My RE said to just follow up with my OB and that I don't need another beta.    I'm disappointed, but I'm pretty optimistic that it will happen for us eventually.  I thought it was too good to be true getting pregnant a week after weaning and starting Met.  Hopefully I'll release a better egg next time.

I guess I'm just waiting for my period now and then we'll be trying again.

For those who have had a CP, what should I expect?  I guess I should probably bring a big package of pads on my trip?

Thanks for the support.

Re: Beta in

  • I am so very very sorry.

I rarely have anything more than a regular period after my c/p's. Of course, I'm usually on p4 support, and stopping it, so that could mean why. But I'd bring some extras just in case.

  • Sp sorry about the c/p.  I hope you have success soon - you have a great attitude!

When I had my c/p, it was a little heavier than a normal period - I started bleeding before my 2nd beta, and it lasted a bit longer than a normal period as well.

  • I am so sorry for your loss.

With my c/p I bled a little longer and a little heavier than a normal period, but nothing too bad.

  • I'm so sorry.  I had a c/p-- it was just like a heavier period.
  • I'm so sorry.  :(  With my c/p, it was just like AF (in fact, until my beta came back pos, I though it was just AF).  But like Davez, I was stopping progesterone supps (PIO shots) -- no idea if that made a difference.

  • I'm so sorry.  I'll be thinking of you. :(

FWIW, after my c/ps my periods were actually a bit lighter than normal, but I'm sure everyone is different.
