IVF #1cancelled

I am very sad  and depressed after 5 weeks of IVF bcps, stimming and montioring my IVF cycle has been cancelled. I am having a IUI tomorrow or Tuesday and hope that is the BFP that I hope for!  The RE said if this IUI is a bust then we do the flare up protocol for IVF.

 I was so upset I did not ask what the flare up protocol is. He mentioned only 2 weeks of bcps...can anyone elaborate on this protocal.

    I'm so sorry your cycle was cancelled--i can't imagine how much that hurts after putting all that time, effort, and energy into your cycle.

     Maybe by "flare up" he was talking about the microdose lupron flare?  I haven't done it but there are a lot of girls here who have.

     
    Good luck with your IUI--I hope that it is a happy ending to your canceled IVF.

    I'm so sorry.  I'm assuming you responded poorly and that is why they are converting to an IUI and therefore they don't want to supress you as much next time.

    I hope the IUI is the answer for you!!

    Big hugs.  What a disappointment.  I am so sorry.  But lots and lots of luck to you with the IUI.  :)

    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    Thanks ladies-

    I can only tell you that I am devasted and I know that there is a next time but 5 weeks to get to this point seemed like forever. I wish those of  in the process of IUi and IVF the best of luck. I just got a call that IUi is not tomorrow maybe Tuesday..We will see...I want to thank each of you for your (((HUGS))) and kind words. These boards do ease the blow of bad news!Thanks, Amy

    I can't really help explain the new protocol but I am so sorry your cycle was canceled. I know it's a horrible thing to go through, hopefully this IUI will bring success. Good luck.

    I'm really sorry to hear that your ivf cycle was cancelled.  Hopefully, the iui will do the trick!  CharmCityGirl was successful with a micro lupron flare cycle.  Page her during the week on the SAIF board, she'd be happy to answer your questions!

    Thanks ladies and I will page charm city girl during the week. Thanks for the inside info ..LOL...I am off to the RE in the am to check b/w and sono for the IUI that was not suppose to be but I guess it is worth a shot!

    I'm so sorry, hon.  I can't imagine after all that work that your IVF turned into an IUI.  I hope this cycle brings you a BFP!
    TTC #1 w/ endo since Sept 2005. After many losses, a lap, tons of meds and tons of testing and, one failed IVF cycle, we were blown away with a surprise, sticky BFP...it's a girl!!! Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

    Sorry this is late - I haven't been on all day - but I'm sorry to hear that your cycle has been cancelled. I just had my third IVF cancelled and it doesn't get any easier. I hope the IUI works for you and you don't have to even worry about another cycle!

    I'm so sorry your cycle was canceled.  My first IVF cycle was canceled before I ever got to start stimming, so I understand a little bit of what you are feeling.

    Good luck with your IUI.  Here's hoping it will bring your bfp!
