My almost 8 week old has been up for nearly 3 hours now and is fighting a nap. This seems like waaaay too long for her to be up. What are you 7/8 week olds doing?
My 7 week old can stay awake anywhere btween 1-3 hours. It depends where we are and usually by the 2nd hour she is fighting sleep or she'll go down for a 30 min power nap and then she's up again.
DD has just started to stay awake more - especially during the afternoon hours. I would say 2-3 hours until she gets tired and wants to take a nap, but even those are getting shorter.
DS has a heck of a time napping during the day. He'll nap in his swing in the morning, but getting him to nap in the afternoon is nearly impossible. Some days if seems he's awake all day with very small 20-30 minute naps. He's been known to be awake (and fussy) from 3 pm to he finally passes out at 11 pm (those days are NOT fun!)
My LO stays up for 2 hours tops, most of the time its 1 hour(including time spent eating) and then she will nap for 1-3 hours after that. Guess my daughter likes to snooze, gosh now I feel like something is wrong with my baby!
Re: How long is your 7-8 week old staying awake at a time?
A kiss he will never forget- Disney World 2014
Usually 2-3 hours. But we have the occasional 4-5 hour days, but those are particularly fussy days when it's nearly impossible to get her to nap.
