  Umm..yea...the whole show is about women who are well into their 50's (one is 70) and having their first babies through IVF.  I am having very mixed feelings about this.  They desperately want a baby, so I feel so bad for them but at that age...maybe you just throw in the towel.

  So far the one lady is in England...another in India.  But I think another lady is from the US....this is just boggling my mind.

  I have seen that show, too... I didn't even know what to think about it!  I couldn't wrap my brain around it, I guess.

  There was a similar story on the Today Show a couple weeks ago. I just don't know how I feel about it, it totally weirds me out. They were talking about a couple children who have already been orphaned because their mothers/parents were old...

  I agree with you - I just don't know if I can support a 70 year old becoming a first time mom. I know lots of grandparents raise their grandchildren (often at this age) but I, too have mixed feelings about trying to have a baby at 70.

  Wow.  That seems kind of selfish.  I understand wanting to have a child, but if you know you're not likely to live thru their childhood....  Then again, more and more people are living to 100.  I still think it's disturbing though.
