So I did the shoot last night. It was weird...I might be suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. Not sure. ;-)
So the mama who wanted the pictures had NO maternity clothes. She's 30 weeks and just wears t-shirts and shorts all day everyday. Yup...enter issue #1. I asked if she wanted to take some in the nursery in maybe a little sundress or even a nightgown or something...nope. She's got nothing. So she put on one of her hubby's button down shirts and a pair of pre-preg jeans unbuttoned...looked fine.
Moving on...enter the "sexier" shots. She wanted them on the bed (I was prepared for that) and she wanted to only wear lacy panties and a lacy strapless bra. I was prepared for all of that. I was not prepared for her husband to enter the bedroom from the master bath in only his boxer briefs.
I'm not a prude by ANY stretch, but come on.
So we talked him into putting on some pants (yes we had to persuade him to do this). Then they took some "sexy" shots on the bed together. OMG.
AWKWARD.
So literally, all of the photos, except the few I took in the nursery, were of her in her undies. I get the "beauty" of the pregnant body...if she felt that way. BUT SHE DIDN'T.
She hates being pregnant. Hates her body. Hates to SMILE. Tough crowd...
Seriously, those two hours were way more awkward than my Dad walking in on the nurse shaving my area for my c-section while my lady bits were exposed. Yep...more awkward than that!
Re: Oh my...what a photo shoot.
Excellent question...one that I didn't want the answer to. Yikes!
and now I'm rethinking a couple bookings I have in Sept. lol.
Be sure to email me a couple to peek at - I'm dying! Actually, when you have a sec... I'm playing around with your/our logo, and it's not looking right. Maybe you tell me how it should sit on my new redesign. Same design, but more horizontal????
I think it was her idea, but I'm not sure. None of it adds up to be honest. It's all very weird.
Davez, I'll email ya. :-)
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!
LOL!!!!! that is awkward. I am not knockin' the pregnancy bod, but do they understand it is about being pregnant and not "getting pregnant"?
WHy did the DH feel the need to be half naked in his skivvies? SOmetimes i think people don't get the idea between tasteful and tasteless.
Betcha the DH posts them all on his FB!
HoLy craP...I hope you charged xtra!!!!!!
I have a line when clients stand over me when I paint...I say the closer you stand the more I charge...perhaps you can come uP with a funny ...the less you wear the more I charge line!!!!!!!hahahah
Gross kinda that he was competing with her beLLy by tryin to shoW his bits and piEces....now im even more grossed out!
You're genius. I should have a "less you wear, more I charge" line. That's a great idea.
I was honestly just flabbergasted that a guy would think it's appropriate to come out in his undies in front of a girl he doesn't know (who is clearly married and there only to photograph his wife's belly). Ugh. Still skeeves me out thinking back on it.
Yikes!!! I would totally want to run away... I think after a few snaps I'd say, OKAY, let's do some outside (and hopefully they'd get that that meant with clothes!). I was shocked that the husband was even home...much less participating!
And yet...... I'm dying to see some so I can gawk and laugh.
Joey, Ronnie, and Audrey,
my awesome IUI 30 week twins, and my surprise miracle
LOVE my SAIF ladies
