So, I used to sell jewelry before we moved to Vancouver, and now that I'm preg. with my second and life is already crazy with my daughter, I'm thinking I won't start selling it here... but I was just lending a couple of my pieces ( I have a ton of really really nice jewelry) to one of my friends and I thought that I could rent it. You know, they have those websites where you can rent a purse or an outfit or whatever for a special event or photos or something... I thought renting the jewelry would be something people might like... What do you think? I could obviously ship it to anywhere in the country, but is it a good idea?
thanks for your opinions!
Re: Business idea... wdyt?
The concept is great, but unless it was really high end jewelry, I can't imagine you'd make much money on it
i don't have enough faith in humanity.
i'd be concerned that you wouldn't get it back.
you would need a very well written contract and an authorization to charge a credit card (which you would need to verify the validity of) if you didn't get your piece back.
i agree though. seems like it would be difficult to make much money doing this unless you have an enormous stock and a lot of clients.
