Good lord I am exhausted! We have used Ferber and it does WONDERS in terms of going to sleep at night - she goes to bed awake, talks to herself for about 20 minutes, then sleeps. But she wakes up crying anywhere from 2-10 times a night. It doesn't last long and she *usually* can put herself back to sleep, but by the time she does, I'm up. Other times, she wakes up and asks for a new diaper (when she's just wet). Of course I can't blame her for that and I get up and change her. She doesn't have an ear infection (just took her in for a check) though she may be getting the last of her 2 year molars. Anyone else in this boat?
Re: Anyone else have an almost 2 yo who still doesn't STTN?
No advice. DD is up usually once a night. Not for long, usually to find her lovie (special blanket). Maybe changing her diaper is her way to get you in the room. Does she leak through? If not, I'd just leave that diaper on her. She'll be fine. Does she have a lovie? DD clings to her as a replacement for me. That has really helped us. We also use white noise to drown out any other noise in the small house (800 sq feet).
GL! I just remind myself that before I know it she will be grown up and not want me in her room. *sigh*

Yup, DD STILL doesn't consistently sttn. Sometimes she will for a week or so but most often she wakes up around 3am and climbs into our bed. And by that time I'm way too tired to fight her and try to put her back in her bed. On the plus side though she sleeps much much longer when she's in our bed vs. her sttn and waking up at 6:30.
I really have no words of advice but I feel your pain. Hang in there!
Same exact thing for me!! I used to stress about her being in our bed...but it works for us!
