It is starting already. We have been to three different one year old birthday parties in the last two months. Everyone is talking about trying for number 2. {{{sigh}}} I am so grateful to have a healthy little girl. I hate IF... never goes away! My mom asked today when we went shopping if I have to go through all the treatments again to have another. My response was I hope not but if nothing happens by December we will be back at the RE. Part of me also thinks researching adoption is also a possibiliy.
After 2 years TTC with mild endo and an elevated FSH. We were successful with our second IUI after Lap surgery. Our daughter born 12/2009. Currently trying for #2. IUI#1-miscarriage, IUI #2-BFN, IUI #3- BFP

Re: So when are you having another one?
We would have to do IVF again for next baby. I hated it, but we have frosties for next round so hopefully it will not be as bad as a fresh cycle. Ideally I would like to have LOs at least 2 years apart, but with me turning 34 this year and the cost of frosties storage, I think we'll try FET when LO turns 1 year next December... if first FET is successful, then they'll be 18-19 months apart, so not quite 2 years apart.
IVF #1: ER 03/29/10; ET 04/01/10: transferred 2 embies; Beta #1 (9dp3dt)- 45; Beta #2 (11dp3dt)- 91= BFP
FET#1: ET 04/18/12: transferred 4 embies; Beta #1: >2 = BFN
IVF #2: ER 06/20/12; ET 6/25/12: transferred 2 embies; Beta #1 on 7/5/12= BFN
8/16: hysteroscopy for polyp removal
11/11: hysteroscopy #2 for yet another polyp removal
FET#2: ET 12/15/12: transferred 3 embies; Beta #1 (9dp5dt): 12/24/12: 426; Beta #2 (11dp5dt): 845= BFP
u/s 1/9= triplets!; miscarried all three on 1/10/13...
my eggs suck, so no frosties for me.
DH and I actually had this conversation last week. Our plan right now is to nurse/EBM for a full year. Once Smudge is weaned, we'll be right back at the RE. So, hopefully that will be at the 1 year mark. Our only option is to cycle again.
Then again, although the odds are MINISCULE, like beyond miniscule and ridiculously low. Less than less than 1%... we're planning on using infertility as birth control once Smudge is born, so if we get a miracle baby in that first year, we'll have no problem at all with having 2 under 2.
"Smudge's Story - How to Grow a Dandelion" will return soon!

"If dandelions were hard to grow, they would be most welcome on any lawn."
After 2 failed IVF's we have no frosties- I have no desire at least now or ever go back to the RE. Once DD's adoption is final I need to just "be" for awhile. If in 4 or 5 years we want another one- we would condider adopting again, but right now DH and I are bothing thinking one and done.
There is the possibility I could get pg naturally- so if that happenes great- if not that's okay to. I could totally have one and spoil her rotten! HAHA!
After the twins were born I knew I wanted another baby and didn't want to wait because I had IVF coverage (thought i was going to lose it within a year of that but i didn't and i still currently have it) so I went back when the twins were 2 months for a consult and was cycling the next month! I do have a few frozen from my cycle with the twins but since I had the coverage I hoped that i would be able to have a few more frozen so if it didn't work I had more to fall back on! Well it worked and brady came along 1 year and 2 weeks after the twins were born! I had no frozen from that cycle.
We are now back at the RE and gearing up to start again! We always wanted 4 kids but I if this round of fresh cyle doesn't work than we might use our three frosties!
