TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

RE called on my day off

Apparently I am a carrier for Group B Strep.  They found this when they did a repeat culture last week.  There are no symptoms and it is not dangerous but they are treating it with antibiotics.  The culture also showed a yeast infection...which I pointed out to the RE yesterday and he told me to start an over the counter treatment which I did.  So...I was freaking for nothing about the culture...easily treatable and will not stop my cycle in any way!  So now I am off to pick up my prescription and get this taken care of.

Why can't things just be easy...oh wait...because I am not an FH!!  Silly me!

But I;m glad this won't interfere with this cycle!

  • They're treating your Group B Strep now? I've never heard of that before.  I'm a carrier too.  Regardless, I'm glad it's not interfering with your cycle :)

  • Oh no!  I am glad that your cycle won't be interrupted though!  I am glad they can easily treat it.  And yes, life would be much easier if we were all just a bunch of FH's.

yeah...they said it won't mess anything up but that not treating it could cause other infections...basically she said there was absolutely no bacteria to fight other infections...hence the yeast infection I guess.  I have never had it treated before but she said it won't stop my other meds so I guess no big deal.

  • Woo hoo! Glad it won't mess up the cycle!! Yes
