My brother's SO is due soon and lives out of state, moved recently so no one to host a shower there and she can't make it back to town before baby is due. We will likely host a "meet-the-baby" party after he arrives and she can come to visit, but I don't want her to miss out on the shower experience completely.
We are not looking for gifts, but ideas for how to include family and relatives in a celebration. So far, people have suggested a "shower in a box" where I pack a box of things for her... I was thinking of extending that idea - sending out letters to friends and family including some ideas of things to send her along with a stamp & her address. what kind of shower'ish things could i send out easily?
was already considering:
-string for family to cut in their predicted belly-size
-cards with spots for wishes/advice/predictions on some cute paper.
creative juices are not flowing. anyone else?
Re: RP from BOTB: help with long-distance shower?
name suggestions
guessing game with baby's weight/length/due date
advice from family
stories from family (maybe best baby memory of your brother if the family is mostly from your side)
it is! that's a great one! thanks so much.
