IUD insertion & bikini wax... Question....

Okay, this is probably a stupid question.  But I'm getting my IUD put in tomorrow morning (paragard).  I was also hoping to get a bikini wax tomorrow night (we're leaving for the beach Friday).  Is this a totally stupid idea?  I'm just concerned about how much bleeding there will be- can I quickly get a 15m wax or is this just a BAD idea ??

    I bled pretty heavily for  a fews weeks after getting my IUD.  Spotted the first 48 hours and then weeks of bleeding.

    I don't think it's a bad idea, as everyone is different.  You might not bleed at all, hard to say.

    I got mine while on my period and I personally would not be comfortable having a BW while on my period so it would be a no for me. I bled or spotted for like 2 months after my IUD.

    I was on my period when it was placed, so I bled... not like pp bleeding, but like heavy period bleeding.   I think I was told it was fine to wear a tampon though.  it's been almost 2 years now.  I don't remember.

    Can you squeeze the wax in tonight?  Otherwise I would check with the waxer to be sure she'd be okay if there were some bleeding (especially if you're doing Brazilian).

    I'm not on my period so it would just be IUD spotting....

    Unfort. she doesn't work tonight!  Booo.  My IUD was supposed to be placed Friday, but I had to move it to tomorrow due to our trip.

    On top of what the others have said, I found the cramping after the insertion to be quite painful. I had basically early labor contrax for several days. No way would I have been interested in getting a bikini wax on top of the contrax.

    I had very little spotting for a few days when I got mine in... cramps on the other hand were from HELL!!!!  I would have been comfortable doing it... I would call your waxer and give her  a heads up and see what she says
