How can he know???

My OB called and canceled my appointment.  I was told I had to reschedule because "the Dr had an emergency that day and wont be in the office".   So the Dr knows he is having an emergency in 2 weeks?  To add to that they "cant squeeze me in til the 20th".  My appointment has been on the books/his calendar sense April (I thought I needed it for may and went in but because of insurance couldnt be seen til Aug so I made my appointment because I was there).

    Frustrating!  My OB cancelled an appt I had the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, maybe four days before.  The message on my machine said that the Dr. was going to be out of town.  Um, did he not know about his Thanksgiving day plans prior??  And to top it off, I got a letter in the mail about a week later asking me to call and reschedule since I did not come to my appt that Tuesday (like I'd been the one to no show).  Crazy.

    While they are kind of misusing the word emergency, there could be something going on in his life that while not a true emergency, it's unexpected and important and it feels like an emergency - so that's how it's being referred to.

    Probably something came up with his family that he knows has to be done that day. Maybe someone is having major surgery and needs to be with them!

     

    My ob's office called and said we have to change your appt his first grandchild is being delivered that day by c section. That was for my annual so it wasn't a big deal to me!
