We're moving next week, and I haven't mapped out exactly what time I'll need to leave for work in the mornings, but on Tues and Thurs I'll likely be dropping the babies off for daycare.
They've NEVER had to be "woken" up before. We just let them sleep until they want.
Usually, they wake up between 6:40-7:30 (most often on the later side of that). I'm thinking I'll need to leave the house 6:40 at the LATEST. So they'll need to wake up at least by 6:20 or so to get them up and changed - we'll have everything laid out the night before and they (so far) don't fight much getting dressed.
How should we handle this? Just wake them up that first day and see how it goes? Start waking them up now? I just hate to get them up now for no reason.
Mon, Wed, and Fri the grandmas have them, so this won't really be an issue.
Thanks!
Re: starting daycare soon and babes will need to wake earlier...
I try to let DS sleep as long as possible, but I do have to wake him some days if he sleeps extra long. Usually he's already starting to stir, though, so I just "help it along" by turning off the white noise machine, opening the blinds, etc. 9 times out of 10 that's all it takes for him to wake up.
Most days I try to play with him before daycare, but if I have to wake him up I try to just read his cues and let him get in his carseat and back to sleep asap if that seems to be what he's wanting
GL!
