DH is turning our baby shower into a bar crawl...

DH is from one state and I am from another (I lived in his homestate for about 5 years) . We live in my home state and will be visiting his home state around October.

One of our friends called us and asked if they could host a baby shower while we are back! Blissful! What a fabulous idea... except DH is "helping" plan this "co ed" shower. From what he emailed me today at work, our babyshower will be a bar crawl. =( hm.

Now I am looking forward to him coming home from work so I can gently explain that "no, I don't mind a co-ed shower/bbq" and "no, I don't even mind hanging out at the bar AFTER" but I don't want a baby shower at the bar.

Oh silly DH. No more baby shower planning for you.

Haha, while mine isn't going to be a bar crawl it's very possible that mine will have a keg. My family likes to drink and it doesn't matter what the occasion is.

We will have a keg. And gummy bear shots. But that's standard for parties with our friends, lol.

The bar crawl idea is a good one but only after the shower. That way, everyone leaves and you can take a nap and dig into your new baby stuff.

Hahahahaha, how awesome. That's my kinda baby shower. At least baby shower games would be way more fun if you started them 3 bars in :-P

i love that you ladies get it! I love bars, kegs, shots, etc! I am sure i'll find some fun recipe for me to enjoy... but please, let's not START at the bar! Really I am most worried that it will alienate some of my old work friends who may not be into the scene. We can definitely bbq beforehand, preparty, and then like the pp said "dig into my baby stuff and nap" while they continue to celebrate. And then join them later.
