So, I'm still waiting to know for sure if I'm feeling baby. I'm hoping some obvious movement will happen soon. I've had a ton of gas lately, so its difficlut to tell.
I do know that when I go to bed at night and roll to my right side, I start to feel little, slight pains on that side. They seem like it could be movement. Then I roll to left and it stops on the right and starts again on the left.
The question I have, is the feeling is not like cramps, but sort of little pains. Lol. It defiinitely does not feel like a buttlerfly or "flutters" as I've heard others say. Do any of you feel little pains as movement when you lay on your side?
Re: question about feeling baby for those that have
The baby does tend to move around a bit when I first lie down or change position as you describe. However, there is nothing even remotely painful about it. I'm thinking it will be painful when it's to the ribs many weeks down the line, but now it feels like gentle little touches/taps.
I do sometimes get other pains when I move and switch positions, ones that feel like cramps. So my gut (no pun intended) reaction is that you're not feeling the baby. However, everyone is different! You did call it "little pains," so maybe it is the baby, if it's really localized. If I felt what you were describing it wouldn't be baby, but only because my baby feels different than that.
basically this too.
Sometimes I notice movement when I've got a great song playing (a little loudly). I felt lots of movement this past weekend on a long road trip. My husband was driving so I was relaxing and singing along. She seems to enjoy Bruce Springsteen- definitely her father's daughter! It might have had nothing at all to do with the music, but it's the second or third time I've felt movement while having music going.
I've also felt the pokes and flutters that others have mentioned. Not sure if they are hands or feet, but something is definitely going on.
I just felt LO kick for the first time this Sunday, and the only reason that I new that it wasn't gas was because it was very localized, about 4 inches below my belly button. I agree with PP who said it feels like bubbles popping or being flicked from the inside. I seem to only feel it when I'm sitting up, and LO seems to prefer to be active b/t 4:00-7:00 pm.
Definitely not painful.
The first kicks were on my left side and they stayed there for a few days. Now I'm feeling them all over.
They feel kinda like sharp pokes and nudges. I'll occasionally gasp when he really lands a good one, but that's more because I'm startled than because it hurt.

I've had side pains when laying down from very early on, which for me, are very different than the baby's movement.
The side pains I chalk up to my muscles stretching & gravity.
The first movement I felt were flutters very low & centered in my pelvic area. Now that I get tiny kicks/pokes, they are slightly painful if they are going inward toward my organs. The ones I feel outward do not hurt.
