Houston Babies

Intro

Hi ladies,

My DH, DD and I just moved to Houston a few week ago from Seattle.  So far we love it (other than getting adjusted to the heat while pregnant) and am meeting tons of nice people.  Texans are so much friendlier than people in Seattle!  I'm sure I'll be on this board a ton now and can't wait to get involved and have play dates, etc.

  • Welcome to Houston and congratulations on your little one on the way!
  • Thanks!  We're in W. Houston.  I think it's considered the energy corridor area?

Seattle was okay.  I grew up in NY and then moved there with my family when my dad got transferred and always wanted to move back.  The natives love it there, though!  It's great if you like rain and cool weather.

  • Hi and welcome to Houston!  My DH is from Washington State... a small town south of Seattle.  I hope you've enjoyed your time in Houston so far.  Looking forward to getting to know you : )

Welcome to the heat.  I'm in W. Houston too (Near Kirkwood/Memorial).  I have 2 kids and would totally be up for a play date!

I know where that is!  We're on Eldridge near Westheimer.  I'd definitely be up for a play date!  Other than my brother, who lives out here, and a few people we have met in my complex we don't know anyone.

Thanks and congrats!!  I'm using Dr. Schmidt at Premier OB/GYN in Katy.  Someone on here recommended her.  I'll be delivering at Memorial Hermann Katy, which luckily is only 10 minutes away (without traffic.)

There are a few of us on that side of town.  I am at Westheimer and Highway 6 - so just down the street from you. We have pretty frequent playdates - you'll have to join us sometime.

Also - check out the Houston board on The Nest.  Almost all of us post over there regularly.

    Welcome to Texas!
