Woo-Hoo!!!! (weight loss related)

I have been gaining and losing the same 5 freaking lbs for a couple of months now. I go up, I go down, I go up again - I can't seem to get into the next 10 lb bracket for anything!!! And today - drum roll please - I did!!!!!! YAY!!!! I am so, so happy. Now, I know the hard work is not nearly done, I have more weight to lose (that I gained post wedding and post BCP's), but this is very exciting for me since I was starting to freak out that the scale would never really budge again!!!

And the crazy thing is (thanks to menu Mondays) I have been cooking more than ever - and yummy stuff too. When I lost weight for the wedding I basically lived on frozen ww and lean cuisine meals for lunch and dinner for 3 months. I mean I wasn't perfect, some days I ate whatever, but that was mostly what I ate to lose the weight. I didn't really want to do that again because: they get expensive, they aren't really that good for you - tons of salt, they aren't really food - some of them were more like cardboard and DH and DD still had to eat something else.

I am so happy right now. This makes me want to reward myself, but the problem with that is my idea of a reward is DQ or something equally bad. Not good for weight loss. I guess I will have to be happy with the single spoonful of gelato I have been allowing myself to have nightly (it really does satisfy the urge for chocolate and something rich and sweet).

That is awesome! Way to go! I do think you deserve to reward yourself though. How about a non-food reward-- like your favorite celebrity gossip magazine or a pedicure?
