Need hospital recommendations near Harrisburg

I just moved to Harrisburg, Lewisberry actually, and just found out I'm pregnant. I'm wholly unfamiliar with this area. I have no family or friends here, and I work from home. It is too soon for my husband to ask his coworkers,  so I'm relying on your help! I am looking for recommendations for doctors or hospitals anywhere from York to Harrisburg to Hershey. I appreciate your information.

    I was in a simliar situaton when I found out I was pregnant with DD.  I ended up going to Partners in Women's Healthcare  - https://www.piwh.com/ - on the recommendation of some of DH's co-workers (we had no one else to ask; this was before I discovered these boards!), and they only deliver at Harrisburg Hospital (part of Pinnacle Health) so I delivered there by default.  Loved the practice as a whole and have no complaints with my experience at the hospital.  I've heard great things about Hershey Med as well, but have no personal experience with them.  Good luck and congratulations!

    I see Dr. Carp on Linglestown (near Sheetz).  He's great.  He delivers at Harrisburg Hospital and I think Holy Spirit. His number is 717-657-7025.

    Welcome!!  I live in Lewisberry too!  I had my DD at Pinnacle in Harrisburg sonce my OBGYN only affiliates there.  however, for where we live, Holy Spirit is equal distance and as for labor and delivery etc., I've heard great things for there.  If it weren't for my OBGYN, I would probably choose there or York Memorial since that isn't too far either and i have heard raves about there as well.  BTW, my OBGYN is Woodward and Associates in Middletown (right off of 283)  I highly recommend them!!!

    Hey! I live in Lewisberry too - welcome!  I'm going to deliver at Holy Spirit Hospital (HSH), in Camp Hill.  15-20 mins away. :)  I go to the Center for Women's Health OB's - which is affiliated with HSH.

    I went to Women's Health in Hershey and delivered at Hershey Medical Center.  I think any hospital in the area is good, I haven't heard anything bad about any of them.  I was glad I was at Hershey as I had a high risk pregnancy; emergency c-section; and we had other issues after my DS was born that we would have ended up at Hershey anyway so I was glad we were right there.  My DS spent 11 days in the NICU and had surgery at 4 months.

    Congratulations!!!!  I went to Center for Women's health for my OB and delivered at Holy Spirit.  HIGHLY recommend both...wonderful experiences!!!!!

    I go to Partners in Women's Health in Lemoyne as well and have been thrilled with the practice.  They deliver at Harrisburg Hospital and I was happy there.  I live in Fairview township, so it's about an 8-10 minute ride on 83 to the hospital for us.  Good luck to you!

    Hi!

    I don't know if you are the person that sees Dr. Mike, but I just delivered at Harrisburg Hospital.  I go to Partners in Women's Health in Harrisburg.  The staff there is great.  There are 3 doctors there that I saw that I would highly recommend.  The midwifes that are there are great as well.  I got to meet 2 of the 3 and they are very nice and were great during the delivery process.  I don't know if you can directly reply to me through email, but if you would like the names of the specific doctors that I liked, feel free to contact me.  If you are the person that also sees Dr. Mike, I will let him know that it is ok to give you my phone # and email.  I am also on Facebook.

    Welcome! I second the recommendation for Dr. Carp. His son is one of my husband's best friends and he's my OBGYN. I wasn't really happy with my previous doctor, so when DH and I started TTC and got our BFP, we decided we wanted Dr. Carp to provide my prenatal care and deliver our baby. He delivered my son and he's great! I know he delivers at Harrisburg Hospital, but not sure where else he delivers. Good luck with everything!

    I, also live in Lewisberry. We are in the TTC process, so it's great to hear the opinion of others in the area. I was going to Partners in Women's Health, but now am working closely with a RE in Harrisburg.
