Sac pediatrician recs?

Hi ladies,

We're moving in a month and I'd like to have pre-scoped out a pediatrician and/or already sent C's records (I could just request them be sent when we're there for her 9 month appt). Anyone have a doctor or practice that they love? At least for the first year I'm planning on being in the midtown/east sacramento/land parkish area, so maybe a doctor affiliated with one of the Sutter hospitals?

If there is something specific you love about them let me know!

PS - I'm planning on extended breastfeeding, and we co-sleep part-time so a receptive doctor would be good, or at least someone that won't chew me out (since I'd just ignore them anyway). Vaccines are on schedule, so that isn't an issue for us.

We have been very happy with Sutter Pediatric. We see Dr MacNeil, but have liked pretty much all the docs we have seen there. They are convenient to the area you are going to be in. Here's their info:

We are really happy with our pedi's office so far. He sees Dr. Gould and Dr. Budd. Here is a link : https://www.kiddoc.com/ Everyone has seemed very open minded so far, we are on a modified vaccination schedule and they are supportive of our choices. GL!

One of my favorite residents just moved to Sac but she is with Kaiser, Dr. Candace Jones.

OMG! I used to tutor for Dr. Gould's daughter! He is the nicest guy. I'm glad you have had good luck with him, that is promising, maybe I'll have to check him out!

That's funny. Small world. We had some trouble getting into him originally (miscommunication re: insurance) and ended up choosing another pedi last minute that a nurse at the hospital recommended and had a terrible experience with her. We (finally) ended up at Dr. Gould's office for his 2 month check up and he made us feel much more comfortable. He is great and seems like a genuinely nice guy. You should definitely check him out Big Smile

I'm not 100% sure what kind of insurance we'll have but since DH will be at Sutter General I kinda doubt it's Kaiser. I think DH mentioned BCBS?

T, I am so happy you are moving up here, I live not too far from Sac, just near Folsom. No recs on a pedi, I am still trying to find one I love up here.
