He got hurt at daycare today. He was trying to get off of a rideon toy and he fell into the handle. his yes is brushburned. I understnad accidents happen but i am so mad she didn't call dh. She called when she got sunscreen in his eye but not this. He must have screamed bloody murder. DH is really upset he feels so bad that he let Ethan have a freezie pop before dinner.

Aww poor Ethan! I can't believe they didn't call. Daycare did the same thing to a friend of mine, her son fell and got a huge goose egg on his head and they didn't call her, she was really mad. I would be too!

Poor Ethan! I can't believe she didn't call. When I worked at a daycare, anything like that warranted a phone call to one of the parents.

Must be the day for it...DD came home from daycare with a bruise on her cheek from bumping it on the table. I didn't get a phone call either

Poor E! I may be in the minority, but I think I'd be ok with them not calling me if he was ok as long as they filled out the incident report and notified me at the end of the day. Otherwise I'd be worried all day about it when, in reality, it wasn't anything serious. But then again, who knows how I would really react when it actually did happen! lol

But I am also in the minority and would be okay with them not calling. Zoey has had a few incidents at daycare and they always just fill out an incident report and then explain the situation to me and have me sign it at the end of the day. As long as she calms down and stops crying, and it's nothing serious, I don't think a phone call is really necessary. The only time daycare has ever called me is when she has a fever and needs to come home.

If it is important to you to receive a phone call when he gets hurt, I would just mention it to her and I'm sure she would be happy to call you. She probably just didn't want to bother you or DH with something that wasn't an "emergency" situation.

Hope Ethan's eye feels better soon!

Aww. i'm sorry he got hurt! How does his eye look today? I'm sorta on the fence with the crying thing. maybe she didn't think it was so bad when it happened? maybe it sounds worse than it actually was?

Guess what.. Eve might have a black eye to match ethans with their matching skinned knees.. I accidentally hit her in the eye with her sprinkler toy today.. right now it just looks kinda red (And a little mark where it hit her).. but I'm worried its gonna get black. I feel awful.
