How often does LO get a bath?

We gave him his first bath last week, he was not happy about that experience. I have been wiping him down with a damp cloth a few times a week, and every time he pees all over himself. How often should I be giving him a full fledged bath?

  • When Ella was that young, about every 2-3 days as not to dry out her skin:)  Hope you are enjoying that beautiful baby boy!

  • maybe this makes us strange, but right now, we're only giving an all out bath maybe once a week?    i wipe her various creases and folds down a few times per week, but she isn't really dirty, so we aren't feeling the need for baths more often.   we may start them more regularly as part of a bedtime routine eventually, but not just yet.

  • We started with every 3 days but after she started having issues with eczema we backed down to once a week.  She stayed on that schedule until she was about 9 months old and started swim classes and moving around more.

  • Yup, every 2-3 days. The older they get, the more they need it, but now, he is not outside getting dirty ect.

I remember going through the whole bath every or everyother night for Nolan as soon as we could, and with Lincoln, we did the sponge bathing thing as long as we could!

When they were little, we did it generally 2x a week.  It's slowly increased as needed, depending on how much food they were wearing and we're pretty much doing it every night now.  Between playing outside at daycare, art projects, and food, they are getting much dirtier now.

  • Definitely 3 x's a week, and sometimes more depending on what his activities were for the day. And actually- that's just us.  He usually stays w/ my parents on Wednesday nights and they usually give him a bath - so he's getting 4 a week minimum.

  • Right now, every night as his bedtime routine. (Altough I only wash his hair 2-3 times a week because of cradle cap.)

BUT for the first few months, only about 2-3 times a week.

  • Lily gets a bath every night as a part of her bedtime routine.  She LOVES her bath and it relaxes her.
  • Every single night.  We wash hair and bodies with soap (California Baby) every night, too.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

  • when they are little 2x/wk is fine.  and trust me, it gets better...it's like all of a sudden one day she liked getting a bath. when they are little i did find that keeping her warm with a wet washcloth or diaper over her body helped a lot!

now that she is older we do baths nightly as part of her bedtime routine, though i still only use soap 2-3x/wk.

LO hated full-fledged baths till she was 6 weeks old. Before then, we tried and she screamed!!! So we stuck with sponge bathing with a damp cloth.

Now it's her favorite time of day and she gets a bath every day.
