baby gas help

My 2 wk old seems to have bad gas...or so I assume as she's my first. She wakes up constantly when trying to fart so she isn't getting solid sleep. I tried the gas relief drops with Simethicone and that seemed to make it worse. First she had bad burp bubbles and now it seems its moved to her lower intestines and reading online, i guess the drops can cause more intense abdominal pain if the gas isn't released......Sooooooo I don't know if I should try gripe water? Plus I do make quite a bit of milk and I read that maybe she's getting too much foremilk which can cause more gas????

Re: baby gas help

  • I have heard from many people that Gripe Water works wonders... although I have not had to use it, it may be worth a try.
