Just wondering if anyone over here has any Hail Mary success stories. I had my lap on Friday where they burned off to minor endo spots on my cervix. Now I am going through to natural cycles at home before being allowed to return to the RE to start IUI's again. I am currently feeling very hopeful.
TIA!
Re: Hail Mary Cycle Successes?
I went through an IUI and two IVF transfers, all resulting in miscarriage before I got pregnant with my son spontaneously. This was after three years of TTC. I'm now pregnant with my second spontaneous pregnancy.
Good luck!
I was told by an Endo "expert" that the best protocol for endo is doing femara, trigger, and a booster trigger 7 days after. (keep in mind that delays you POAS, lol)
He swears that's the Golden Ticket to try post-lap or BCP. Something about the estrogen componet in the femara (it's a breast cancer drug) that does the trick.
GL !
My history was similar to yours when I got my BFP (although I was anovulatory instead of unexplained). I had been TTC for 18 months, with four Clomid cycles that didn't go anywhere and two failed Gonal-f + IUI cycles when I had my lap in April 2008. Minor endo was found and removed, and my RE said my chances of conception were now 18% better. I conceived in May (same cycle as lap, oddly) but it was a m/c. I had some lingering hCG issues, but when that was over my RE wanted us to try on our own for three cycles before resuming treatment. We conceived our son in August, the first cycle we could try again after the m/c.
Good luck!
