I need a place to have a picnic with Carol and her wheel chair. I hear they have a wheel chair that goes on the sand at natural bridgesand harbor beach in santa cruz? Anyone ever seen or tried this.
I've had client's who have AWD type chairs that are battery powered. Haven't heard about that though. Have you checked online or tried calling the state park, chances are there is an office there. I'll let you know if I see anything.
If it doesn't have to be actually "in" the sand, check out the Rio Del Mar/Seacliff beach in Aptos. There is a paved path that goes by the cement ship (and you can go on the pier) and picnic tables along the way. If you park in the Rio Del Mar section, the parking is free and there is a wheelchair ramp. If you park over near Seacliff/New Brighton, you have to pay to get in and it isn't as flat.

P.S. How was your weekend?
