Wives tales.. HB to tell gender POLL.

Ok as I get closer to Friday I am wondering more and more what we will have and looking for signs. My gut from the start has said a boy and a girl, fraternal twins (obviously), and I had a dream we found out they were a boy and a girl (In Japan by a self administered ultrasound but that's regardless right Surprise ), but I know all this means nothing really.

So onto something else that could mean nothing, Embarrassed HB's what is the wives tale if they are over what they are a boy, under a girl?

and what was your DC HB ?

I got to see them yesterday for a moment at my Drs. appt. baby B is REALLY hard to see because of how s/he is laying.. I hope on Friday we can see what gender baby b is.

I believe in a mother's intuition more than the HB. If you're having dreams you've got a boy/girl baking in there, then I'm gonna follow suit with your gut.

The heartbeats for both of my kids were opposite of what the old wives' tales said they would be. (Sooo excited for you, btw)!

So excited for you!! I hope the babies show off on Friday! I think the tale is over 160 is a girl, and less than that is a boy? In general, 120s are usually a boy? Both of my boys were usually in the 160s, sometimes in the 140s, and sometimes 150s. So I don't think the HB one is super valid since I have two boys, and they were usually 160. Maybe girls are much higher than that?

With this pregnancy and my last, the dr never said the heart beat is x. Just the baby looks good.

I think Ava is right. Trust your gut! With Logan I tried to convince myself it was a girl, but I knew it was a boy. This time, I thought oh boy another boy right away ;-)

The OWT says boy heartbeats are lower than girls, but my boy's was in the 150-160s all the time.

My intuition said boy from the start, even though I really wanted a girl. I had dreams of him -- of the dark hair on his head as I nursed him. And DH had a dream of him, with his dark hair, at a picnic, laying on a blanket.

I think your gut is right. Enjoy the ride!

Sooooo excited for you!! I went with my gut and it was wrong not that it means anything.

I'm gonna be on pins and needles all day Friday for you. I hope Baby B cooperates--Sean was "B" and difficult to find sometimes, too

i dont know about the hb thing, but for me for both, my gut instinct was correct.

When we told my inlaws, i was pg with Lexi my FIL came to me and said i was having his granddaughter.

We were on a trip to DL when i found out i was pg with O, and on the drive down, i got really motion sick. We stopped and i yaked at a gas station, FIL came up to me , put his hand on my belly and said that it was his grandson in there. 8 hrs later i ranto target and confirmed i was pg!

So if you want, i can have my FIL come rub your belly and tell you what your having. He has a crazy ability to tell!

For me, both boys had "girl" heartbeats according to our early u/s's, I can't remember what the rates were but I remember the techs saying that both times. And, I thought both of them were girls.

I think the OWT about heartbeats correlates to the hb in the third tri or later in pregnancy and often people don't get ultrasounds or track the hb that late. Both my kiddos followed the OWT later in pregnancy - S was always in the 150-170 range, and DS has been in the 130's. But he was over 150's in the early ultrasounds.

My gut was wrong with DD, and right with DS. I'm almost always wrong, though!

I swear by the string trick, but with twins (and b/g twins at that!) it would be all over the place, ha!
