What would you ladies think about an adoption check-in?

I know Court, Swank, myself and now Dandyelle (squee!)  are all pursuing adoption in addition to TTCAL.

What would you all think about a weekly check-in? So we can share stories and where we are with everything?

    Of course!  I must confess that I pulled back a bit after the first phone call, but I plan to get back on the ball again after the stupid hsg this week. 
    Connor Thomas 6/6/08. Discovered missed miscarriage at 17 wks 3 days, D&C 11/25/09. Please, please, please - BFP 5/21/11, EDD 2/1/11. Beta@12DPO=52, Beta@14DPO=158. U/S 7/7/11 shows strong baby measuring a couple days ahead!!! Pregnancy Ticker

    I think it's a great idea.  The ladies on the adoption board are nice, but we're such a family here.

    This! Also, I've always felt that adoption would be in our future regardless of whether or not we have a biological child.... So I'd love to follow your stories so that I'm "in the know" when it's our turn to adopt!

    Absolutely!  I'm excited to be able to share your adoption journey with you ladies! 

    DH and I are also discussing adoption as a means of growing our family.  I'd love to learn/observe from you!

    I think that would rock.

    I feel creepy and stalkerish visiting the Adoption boards, so seeing updates here would be really really awesome.  And I know it's not technically trying to conceive, but we're not trying to conceive, are we?  We all want our FRICKEN BABY.  And if your BABY comes via adoption, well man, I sure as heck don't want to miss out on the process!!

     

    Dandy:  AWESOME!!!  I read your post but replied to this one instead.  Sorry I'm such a lazy loser.  But that's awesome, awesome news.

    Adoption is a maybe and still way down the line for DH & I, but I love researching it and I've become somewhat obsessed with the idea.

    But I feel like going on the adoption board would be like some newb going on the IF board and saying "hey! I just started ttc, but can I hang out here in case I have IF in a year or two?!?!" 

    Having a check-in here would be cool.

    I like it.  Of course I lurk on the adoption board all the time.  I'd like to pursue both right now, but DH isn't quite on board yet.  So I just randomly go and find adoption agencies to read about online.  Sigh.  But I'd love to keep up with where you guys are at in your search and learn more about the process!

    I would love if you did this. I have been looking into adoption a little bit and would love to hear how it is going for you and some tips. Right now we are still doing ivf and unfortunately can't afford to do both at the moment.
