Katie went 14 1/2 months with no teeth (clearly a late teether). Right now she has about 8 teeth coming in at once. It is nuts! I feel so bad for her but on a positive note I guess we will get this teething all done at once. One question - How long does it take for the teeth to fully come out once they break the surface?

Re: Teething insanity!!
Poor kid. How's she handling the insanity?
My aunt told me my cousin was a late teether and then they all came in seemingly at once. Like you said, the good thing was they were done with teething in a shorter amount of time, but man...
K's had her two teeth for two weeks now and they still haven't risen that much. I think someone told me 3-4 weeks for them to come out fully.
Considering how many are coming in she is doing pretty well. She woke up in the middle of the night Sunday (which she never does) so I gave her some motrin and held her for a while and she went back to sleep. Last night I gave her motrin before bed and she STTN. During the day she is pretty happy just drooling like crazy! Her "attitude" has picked up a bit but I think that just might be this age ; )
Wow, 8 at once! I can't even imagine! DD got her bottom two at 9 months and just two weeks ago started cutting the top 4. It has been rough, one has finally broke through last week but now two more are breaking through (hence, we were up every hour last night, even with Motrin and snuggling with mommy). She has done great during the day, just a lot of drooling and wanting to chew on stuff.
Good luck
Oh, and it took about 3-4 weeks for her bottom two to fully come up. But once they broke through the gums, she was perfectly fine.
